Spray tans are a cheap and favourable alternative to harsh UV exposure which can cause skin cancer, pigmentation, sun-burn, wrinkles and premature ageing (just to name a few!) Solariums are fast gaining a reputation as one of the easiest ways to develop skin cancer and require 2 to 4 visits per week just to maintain a tan – so not only are they dangerous and timely but expensive too.

Spray tans work by temporarily staining the top layers of skin cells with DHA – a sugar based tanning solution which causes a chemical reaction called oxidisation and causes the skin to develop a tanned complexion over 2 to 6 hours. Sydney Tanning spray tans are fast and offer a no-mess approach to fake tanning. On average spray tans with us take approximately 10-15mins to apply, which includes drying time. Spray tans gradually fade after approximately a week due to the body’s natural elimination of our dead surface skin cells.

Our spectrum of spray tan solutions at Sydney Tanning, develop anywhere between 2hrs and 8hrs depending on the product. These include TechnoTan – which is a completely organic product, light in texture on application, available in 3 colours and is also a rapid tan which means it can be washed off after just 2 hours. Be Tanned is another organic product, developing over 8 hours and resulting in a dark olive colour. Chevron Island Tan is an 8 hour solution, developing into a medium to dark olive colour and has been voted Queensland’s best spray tan solution. Trained staff will assist in determining the right product and shade for your skin tone.
