Crows Nest is a very central but relatively quiet suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney. Crows Nest is located 5kms north of the Sydney CBD and is in the local government area of North Sydney Council.

Crows Nest is a popular district noted for its array of unique shops and multicultural restaurants. It is centred on the junction of five main roads which connects Crows Nest with North Sydney, St Leonards, Neutral Bay and Wollstonecraft and Willoughby. Surrounding suburbs include Artarmon, Greenwich, Lane Cove, Naremburn, Chatswood, Cremorne, Northbridge, Castlecrag, Mosman and Milsons Point.

The Warringah Freeway runs along the border of Crows Nest, as does the Pacific Highway and Falcon St, while Willoughby Road runs through the centre and is known as the restaurant hub of the area.

There are several supermarkets in Crows Nest including Woolworths on Falcon St, Franklins on Willoughby Rd and the newly appointed specialty store Thomas Dux, also on Willoughby Rd.

Crows Nest is also in close proximity to Royal North Shore Hospital and St Leonards railway station.
