Neutral Bay is pleasantly littered with tree-lined streets and is situated on the lower North Shore of Sydney. Neutral Bay is located 5kms north of the Sydney CBD.

Neutral Bay is in the local government area of North Sydney Council. Surrounding suburbs include North Sydney, Cammeray, Milsons Point, Cremorne, Mosman, Crows Nest, Northbridge and Castlecrag.

The main shopping district of Neutral Bay is along Military Road and reaches as far as several side and back streets surrounding Neutral Bay Junction. Military Road is the main road that runs from Falcon Street in Crows Nest, passes the on-ramp to the Harbour Bridge and continues onto Mosman to take you down to the Spit Bridge. Neutral Bay is known for its boutique shops, restaurants and cafes. The Big Bear shopping centre is a shopping mall featuring a Coles supermarket, several grocery stores, a chemist and well established Doctors Surgery.

The Oaks Hotel is a well known and popular landmark located on the corner of Military Road and Ben Boyd Road. Featuring a number of eateries, bars, sitting rooms and a spacious sunny beer garden, it’s the perfect place to meet with friends.

The Neutral Bay ferry wharf sits at the end of Hayes Street and the Kurraba Wharf on Kurraba Point can be accessed by Kurraba Road.

The Warringah Freeway runs along the border of Neutral Bay, providing links to the Sydney CBD, airport and Southern Sydney. Northbound on the Warringah Freeway provides access to Willoughby, Chatswood and also freeway links in both west and northbound directions.
